We consider the initial value Cauchy problem for a class of Schrödinger equations, with Hamiltonians that are Weyl quantizations of quadratic forms with non-negative real part. This setup includes the heat equation, the free Schrödinger equation as well as the harmonic oscillator. We study propagation of phase space singularities, measured by three families of global wave front sets: polynomial, super-polynomial, and exponential decrease in cones in phase space. It turns out that the propagation in all three cases follows the same pattern determined by the singular space of the quadratic form. These results originate from collaborations with E. Carypis, K. Pravda-Starov and L. Rodino.
